Who We Are

Westgate Church is a community committed to the purpose of God and His blessing in the lives of people locally and globally.

Father God’s purpose is clear:
2 Peter 3:9 – The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.  He is patient with you not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

God has given all men and every church the same mandate:
Matthew 28:18-20 – Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Westgate Church is a community established by God with a passion to connect people with His purpose.

The local church is the single most relevant organism on the earth today. Jesus established the church community to guard over the life-giving principles and purposes of God in people’s lives.

Matthew 16:17-19 – Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.  And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock i will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.  I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Westgate Church is a community of prayer because our purpose is sacred.

The motivating force of our church community is the Holy Spirit’s passion to see people restored to the Father’s love through faith in Jesus Christ.

Mark 21:13 – My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer.
